The Western Isles Island Games Association will be hosting the WIIGA annual 5k on Saturday 2^nd March 2019.

The Natwest International Island Games is a great opportunity for our local talented athletes to compete at an elite international competition and you can help to raise funds to support our athletes by participating in the Castle Grounds 5K.

You can walk or run the route, push a pram or take the dog!

Primary aged children must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult.

There will be a prize for the first male and first female to finish the course.

To register please complete the entry form in link below and return it to the Lewis Sports Centre.

Galson Motors 5k Form

The National XC champs took place in Falkirk on Saturday 16th February. There were 16 SRAC finishers in total. It was a fantastic weekend alround, with top performances and banter! Thanks must go to coaches Willie, Lorraine and Allan for organising and supervising the trip. All the hard work over the winter really paid off! 🙂

Wacky Race 4 is cancelled tonight, Thursday 31 Jan, due to the icy pavement conditions. Race 5 will be on Thursday 21st Feb – see you there!

It was another fine winters day and another fantastic turnout on the castle green for the second race in the series! In total 277 runners took part. Huge thanks to everyone that organised the entries, setup the course on Friday, and all of the marshals and helpers on the day!

The next cross country race will be the Western Isles Championships on Saturday 16th February in the Castle Grounds. The prize giving for the Lewis & Harris series will also take place that day.
