Heb Half Series – 2026
What is the Heb Half Series?The Heb Half series is to complete at three or five Hebridean island Half Marathons – Stornoway, Benbecula, Skye, Barra or Harris in one summer. This is the longest running half marathon series in Scotland beginning in 1990. 2026 will be the 33rd edition of the event! The series opens with the Stornoway half marathon at the end of May and ends with the Harris half marathon at the beginning of July. Each race is unique but they all share amazing scenery and a warm Hebridean welcome, with post race ceilidh celebrations to beat anywhere else!
All runners who complete the Heb Half Series will receive a T-shirt!
These Half Marathons are independently organised, sponsored, and support local charities. (There is no separate entry fee for the Heb3 race series over and above individual race entries).

In order to take part in the Heb Half series you need to complete our free online registration to confirm you are taking part. The Heb Half Serices (3 / 5) entry is free thanks to the generous sponsorship from Macaulay Asknerish.
You also need to enter each of the races you intend to take part in and pay their separate entry fees. You can sign up for those here:

Heb Half series prizes are awarded based on each runner’s fastest three times out of the five races. The prize giving will take place immediately after the Harris Half prize giving on 4th July. Prizes are normally sourced from the island, for example, local pottery.

Notes on prizes
The team prize will be awarded to the fastest three runners from any one club, male or female. Each of the three runners must have completed the HEB3, running for the same club. The three runners can run different races as long as they each run the HEB3 (ie at least 3 races).
